Noir rain, trench coat
Tested on Seedream 5.0 Pro · model page · artwork page
The prompt
“a lone figure in a trench coat under cinematic rain, film noir lighting”
One line of mood — the model built the wet street, the rim light and the hard shadow. Cinematic is a prompt word here, not a filter.
Variations — same base, different outcome
“a woman in a trench coat under cinematic rain, neon reflections, film noir lighting”
Add a light source and a color — neon turns the same shot cyberpunk-adjacent.
“detective alone in heavy rain at night, hard side light, cigarette haze”
Occupation plus atmosphere words — the haze makes the light visible.
“figure in a coat on a wet street, backlit by a single streetlamp, deep shadows”
Backlight instead of side light — silhouette-led version, face de-emphasized.
Adapting it
- Rain plus one named light source is the whole recipe — add the source, don't stack adjectives.
- The noirishness lives in 'deep shadows' — that clause is what keeps the fill off.
