Building a portable AI workstation
The LivePair machine isn't a product you wait months for — it's a build. Off-the-shelf parts, one afternoon, and $10 of printed mounts that tie it together.
The parts
A 16" portable monitor for the assistant, a used 13" pad as the secondary display, a VESA arm, a Leofoto clamp, a GIM6010-8 gear motor for silent repositioning, an Orange Pi Pico 2W for wireless control, and a SkyRC B6neo to power the motor safely.
Every part with quantities and direct buy links is on the hardware page — most of it ships from Amazon or AliExpress.
The custom parts
The mounts connecting the motor to the machine are ours — STEP files you buy once for $10 and print on any FDM printer, or send to a print-on-demand service. PETG or PLA+, 30%+ infill.
The safety part
One rule matters more than the rest: never connect the gear motor straight to a battery. Power it through the B6neo per its manual. The full wiring guide is on the hardware page and in hardware.txt for AI agents.
